If you purchase an item online you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

 

Our Service

 

We welcome you to browse our website and view a range of our products with all of the details provided. If you require any other information please contact us via email or telephone and we will do our best to assist you with more information.

 

We do not provide a service to measure you to fit our chairs. If you wish to visit our store we have a choice of sizes on display so you are able to choose a size that sits comfortably for you. We can help offer advice with the fit but we take no responsibly as to which chair or size you choose. All of the sizes can either be found on our website or we can send the details via email.

 

It is important to understand that we are here to help you choose a chair, recliner or sofa that you find comfortable. We are not healthcare specialist that can assist you with any health related issues. We are a furniture retailer, here to help you find a comfortable and stylish chair or sofa.

 

Fabric/Leather Samples

 

We highly recommend if you are purchasing online, to visit us in store if you can or contact us giving us information on the fabric/leather you would like samples of and we will have them sent out in the post. You should receieve these samples in approximately a week.

 

We are unable to offer a list to choose from online owing to the extensive amount to choose from. The images may also look different to what you choose. We apologise for any inconvenience.

 

Placing your order

 

When placing your order online, you will be taken through step by step of your order.

Firstly select the items you wish to purchase. After receiving your samples in the post or visiting our store, you can tell us what fabric/leather you wish your items to be upholstered with in the box provided.

Once you are happy add the items to your basket, where you can thoroughly check through your items. Be sure to check sizes, model and your choice of fabric/leather.

If everything is correct, proceed to checkout where you will be asked to pay for your order in full.

If you wish to pay a deposit, this can only be completed through purchase in our store.

 

If you purchase online, you are agreeing with our terms and conditions.

 

Once your order is complete, your sales confirmation forms part of a legally binding contract.

 

All of our lead times provided are approximate dates. Slight delays are not reason for refund or compensation. Lead times can be affected owing to seasonal holidays such as Bank Holidays and the Christmas period.

 

Delivery

 

We are proud to offer a 5 star rated two man delivery service. Your products will be delivered to a room of your choice, packaging removed and products set up and plugged in if required. For any electrical goods, you will also be provided with a demonstration if you wish.

 

We are unable to provide a exact time for your delivery, however we will provide you with eithe ra morning slot (10am-12pm) or Afternoon slot (1pm-4pm). You will also be called prior to your delivery to ensure you are home to accept delivery. We deliver every weekday, Monday to Friday.

 

If you are not within local delivery distance your delivery will be completed by a local trusted courier service of ours. There may be a courier charge. Please contact us prior to delivery for more information.

 

Our trusted courier service will still offer the same 5 star service as our own team. Delivery to a room of your choice, packaging removed and products set up and plugged in if required.

 

Our courier team will contact you once they have recieved your goods to schedule delivery.

 

We understand the challenges with checking access routes for delivery. However, it is your responsiblity to ensure that the furniture you have bought can fit into you home. If you unsure of this, please check with us first. We are unable to give refunds for furniture that does not fit. Your standard cancellation fees will apply.

 

VAT Free elidgable products

 

Our Riser Recliners and Adjustable beds are VAT Free Elidgable products.

If you are chronically ill or disabled and you are purchasing a product for your own personal or domestic us then you may be elidgable for the VAT free price. The person for whom the product is for cannot be present at the time of sale, you can still be VAT Free elidgle providing the correct information and signing the Elidgibilty Declaration.

Each of our VAT Free elidgable products as listed and sold online EXCLUDING VAT. Once you have placed your item, we will either email you or post the Elidgibility Declartaion to you to complete and sign. We will contact you after we receive your order to discuss how you wish to recieve the form. If you do not complete this form prior to delivery we will have to ask for the VAT to be paid on this item as well.

We will provide a stamp to return the form.

 

Payment

 

Acceptable payment methods include Debit or Credit cards (Visa & MasterCard). If you are purchasing online we also accept Paypal and interest free payments through third parties (PayPal & Klarna) if you are elidgable.

We also accept bank trasfers upon request. We no longer accept cheques.

 

For all orders, we only ask for a deposit to secure your order and have your order processesd. Our deposit requirement is 30% of the total value. We require payment in full prior to delivery. All goods will remain property of Mays Home until payment is made in full.

 

You may also make payments over the phone. Our only condition is that the card you are paying with is registered to the address allocated to your order.

 

If you are purchasing any items from display for quick delivery, we require payment in full.

 

Cancellation

 

Please refer to our ‘Distance selling’ section if you have purchased your items online.

 

Storage

 

We accept that circumstances change after you make your order with us. We are happy to store your items for a short amount of time, taking the pressure off you if you have to have an old suite etc, to be disposed of.

 

Charities

 

We work with a couple of local charities. If your items are in good condition with fire safety tags we can recommend you a couple of charities that collect items free of charge. We will then do our very best to arrange to deliver the same day, if given enough notice..

Sue Ryder are happy to collect any unwanted items in good condition free of charge or their friendly team always available to help, our shop is a really easy place to drop off donations. You can contact Sue Ryder by the telephone number above or book a collection on their website.

 

Purchasing ex-display items

 

Items that are being sold from display must be paid for in full. If there are any imperfections known to us we will inform you prior to purchase. However it is the customers duty to check over the product and check its mechanisms to ensure you are happy with your purchase.

Standard cancellation policy applies.

Any ex-display items will have varied guarantees, depending on their time on display. The guarantee will be confirmed on your receipt.

 

Refunds & Replacements

 

If by chance you receive a faulty or damaged items we will do our best to correct the fault or if this is not possible, provide you with a full refund. This is to be reported within 7 days of delivery.

To report any damage or faults please contact our store. We will either ask for images/videos of the damage via email or visit to inspect ourselves to confirm the fault.

 

Your guarantee

 

Our products each have their own guarantees or warranties. This will be confirmed before you order is placed and confirmed on your receipt. Depending on the items you choose.

 

Your guarantee/warranty does not apply to the following; damages caused by accident, misuse or had any modifications. Normal wear and tear is not covered. These items are for domestic use only, not commercial use.

Distance Selling Regulations

 

The following only applies to orders placed via our website, not for items purchased in store.

 

You are entitled to cancel your order within 14 days of recieving your goods. All items delivered need to be in their unopen original packagaing and in perfect condition. We reserve the right to deduct any amount if the goods are not in new condition upon return.

 

Items already unpackaged by our delivery team and to be returned are to be used to the standard of in store usage. To try rather than use.

 

There may be a return charge. Please contact us regarding this.
