Here at Mays, we’ve had a revamp! We re-evaluated our look to give our customers a more satisfying experience with us – and we realised we had to drag Lloyd and the team into the 21st century, haha!
So let us start by telling you what has changed!
Our name! You probably already know this anyway but let us explain. We love the name Mays Furnishers and we are so proud of this name and the reputation it has received in Peterborough. However, with the changes we have worked hard to make
to our store, we decided to slightly change the name. We are now Mays Home! We have still kept the Discount Furnishers as a slogan as it is the history of our shop and we still provide customers with great prices! We also found that even for us now ‘Furnishers’ is a difficult word to get right, haha!

new signage for our store front. We are loving our new store front and the feedback from our customers has been so positive, so thank you!
Room sets! Boy has this been tricky, haha! We've worked so hard as a team to design luxury bedroom sets. From customer feedback and online research, we discovered that this is the most satisfying way for our customers to shop. And now we totally get it, it looks great! Not only can you visit us to view our range of great furniture lines, but you can now view these in a room set up so it’s easier to imagine it in your home! Again, we have had lovely feedback from everyone. But we can’t wait to finish wallpapering, it was harder than we first assumed, haha!
Our revamp is going to continue throughout the store and we are so excited to achieve our goal look!

You may already be aware - as you're probably much better at keeping up with tech than us, haha! But at the end of last year, we excitedly launched our website! This was such a great achievement for our small business, and we have continued to grow the website each week! Our Facebook competitions! Last month we held our first competition on Facebook

Mayson and Maysie! Our two cheeky bears, Mayson and Maysie are our new Mays Mascots. This was to introduce a more fun way of sharing information and news of our products! Our wise bears like to share their views and thoughts on our products. So keep a look out for them on our social media!
We have Instagram! We know, we finally caught up with the rest of the world! We want our Instagram platform to be a fun and friendly environment. On here you will see Mayson and Maysie and what they’ve been getting up to, new added lines to our store and website, our new store décor, competitions we are holding and so much more! When it comes to small local business, we like to know the backstory or the owners of the store to receive a more personal experience with your shopping. Well we are still the same! We are still run by the same May family continuing to work hard in Brian's name. We are still the same great people and we still offer the same great prices! Just because our name has change, we want to reassure everyone that the business has not changed one bit. Our priorities are still the same! A range of great quality products, excellent rated customer service and quick delivery times!
Our changes are going to continue over the coming months. New lines will be added to our store, like our Real Oak. We are going to continue with our decorating, even though we hate putting up the wallpaper! And we are going to keep growing our website!
